People Pictures

Here are some pictures of Staci and Jenna that I took with my Kodak at North Oaks Park over the summer.

The first two pictures were taken in Manchac with my Kodak a while back. The third picture was also taken with my Kodak over the summer right after I released ladybugs to control aphids.

This is my favorite picture so far. It is a cyclamen my MIL gave me Christmas Day. I took this right after the rain. I would love to blow it up and frame but I don't think I have anywhere in my house that bright pink would match LOL

Wow, first a myspace and now a blog!

Never thought I would have a blog, at least not until a baby comes along one day. Anyway, this isn't to keep you up to date with me. I strictly did a blog as a way to post my photography so family/friends could see it easily. I am very new at this (blogging and photography) so I will try to do my best.

I guess it was a few years ago when I realized how much I really enjoyed taking the pictures and not just being in them like when I was a teenager. My only photo subjects right now are my two nieces who rather act up in front of a camera then pose and smile :) I also love taking nature/macro pictures. My wonderful husband, Steven, just got me a Canon G9 for Christmas. It is the top of the line PowerShot (as of right now at least) and I can still add lenses/flashes to it if needed. I have a lens/filter kit on order right now and should get it in the next few days. This camera should last me a few years before I decide I want an SLR. I am already amazed at the macro pictures I can get with it! Before this I had a Kodak DX7440 which I thought was great until I tried getting better nighttime pictures and closeup/macro pictures.

I will post some of my better pictures as soon as I figure out how to do a copyright on them. I am also trying to decide on software right now. I downloaded the trial of Corel PSP and I am currently trying to download the Adobe Photoshop trial before deciding. Right now, my main goal is to make a collage!

One more thing, I have very bad grammar and spelling skills so just ignore. I can't get Steven to write this like he did my papers all through school :) One good thing, misspelled words are underlined in red so I can correct those if I notice.
